Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager or Managing Consultant to lead and grow our Legal recruitment offering across the North, with responsibility to take over and further develop the Midlands region. This is a senior, high-impact role within an already well-established Legal division, offering significant autonomy, investment, and long-term progression.

With an immediate budget to build a team, this is a genuine opportunity for someone to shape a region, influence strategy, and make a lasting impact.

The Opportunity

  • Full ownership of the North Legal patch, with scope to expand into the Midlands

  • Backed by an established brand, strong client base, and existing Legal reputation

  • Immediate headcount budget to grow a team around you

  • Opportunity to play a key role in the revised commission and bonus structure, including profit-based team bonus

  • A senior leadership role with clear progression and influence at divisional level

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and grow the Legal recruitment desk across the North and Midlands

  • Drive new business development while nurturing existing key client relationships

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of consultants (perm-focused initially)

  • Deliver against individual and team revenue targets

  • Shape regional strategy in line with wider Legal division objectives

  • Maintain high standards of delivery, compliance, and candidate experience

  • Act as a senior figurehead for the Legal brand in the region

About You

We are open to candidates from several backgrounds, including:

  • Senior Consultant ready to take the next step into management

  • Manager / Managing Consultant / Director-level recruiter seeking a broader regional remit

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in Legal recruitment (private practice and/or in-house)

  • Strong perm experience (interim exposure welcome but not essential)

  • A track record of billing and/or leading successful teams

  • Commercial mindset with the ambition to build and scale a region

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
