The Role

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager (BDM) – Driving Sector on behalf of a leading recruitment business. The role will focus on winning new driving-sector clients, developing long-term partnerships, and supporting the growth of A–Z accounts across the region.

This is a pure sales-focused role, suited to someone with strong industry knowledge and a proven track record in business development within driving or logistics recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, target, and win new driving-sector clients (HGV, LGV, van, courier, logistics)
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and service agreements
- Work closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure successful onboarding
- Grow accounts from initial win through to A–Z status
- Maintain strong market awareness and competitor insight

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Develop long-term, trusted relationships with decision-makers
- Act as a brand ambassador for the business
- Ensure a smooth handover to account management/delivery teams

Skills & Experience Required

- Proven experience as a BDM within driving or logistics recruitment
- Strong new business track record
- Knowledge of the UK driving market and compliance requirements
- Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially focused
- Full UK driving licence
