Location: Manchester (Office-Based)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus + Profit Share
OTE: £105,000+ (Top Performers Significantly Higher)

The Opportunity

Our client is launching a new start-up division in Manchester and is seeking an experienced, high-performing recruitment leader to join as a Branch Manager.

This is a genuine leadership role for a proven top biller within the construction recruitment sector, combining hands-on delivery with the opportunity to build and scale a new branch from the ground up.

This is a fully greenfield opportunity – there is no existing team in place. The successful individual will play a key role in recruiting, hiring, and building the entire consultant team, shaping the structure, culture and performance standards from day one.

You will initially operate hands-on while also driving the growth of a high-performing team, expected to develop to 4–5 billing consultants with further expansion as the branch scales.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take full ownership of branch performance, P&L contribution, and overall growth strategy. For the right individual, there is a clear and realistic pathway to Associate Director level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, lead and develop a recruitment team from scratch within a new start-up branch

  • Take ownership of recruiting, hiring and onboarding new consultants

  • Maintain and grow your own personal billing within the construction recruitment market

  • Drive day-to-day performance, activity and output across the developing team

  • Establish structure, processes and culture for the new Manchester branch

  • Deliver consistent team revenue growth alongside personal success

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and structured development planning

  • Take accountability for branch performance and P&L

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates across the construction sector

  • Support the strategic growth and direction of the new office

  • Create and embed a high-performance, start-up culture from day one

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience within construction recruitment

  • A proven track record as a top biller (essential)

  • Previous recruitment leadership or management experience (preferred)

  • Experience building or scaling teams (highly advantageous)

  • Strong personal billing history with consistent high performance

  • Hands-on experience recruiting and developing consultants

  • Commercial awareness with understanding of P&L responsibility

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ambition, resilience, and a track record of delivering results

  • A genuine desire to build a branch from inception

Earnings & Incentives

The company offers one of the most competitive commission structures in the market.

The structure is incremental and designed to heavily reward high performance.

Branch Managers are expected to progress towards annual personal billings of up to £250,000+.

Average OTE: £105,000+
Top performers regularly exceed £14,000 per month in bonus alone.

Super Bonus

Once target is exceeded, bonus increases to 30% on additional earnings.

Profit Share

Once established, Branch Managers will receive 5% of their branch’s annual net profit as a profit-share incentive.
