About the Opportunity

We are working with a fast-growing education technology business transforming how schools’ access temporary teaching and support staff across the UK.

Schools currently spend billions annually on temporary staff, with a significant portion lost to traditional recruitment agency fees. This business is solving that problem through an online platform that gives schools direct access to fully vetted teachers and support staff, helping schools save money and reinvest it where it matters most — back into classrooms and teacher pay.

Following significant investment and rapid expansion across both the UK and US markets, this is an exciting time to join a high-growth business with strong momentum and genuine opportunity for career progression.

The Role

This is a key leadership position with significant responsibility and autonomy, offering the chance to shape regional growth and long-term commercial success.

They are looking for a high-performing Billing Manager who has a proven track record of driving commercial success, building and growing a desk, and successfully managing people.

This role would suit someone currently operating as a Billing Manager, Senior Team Leader, or an experienced Team Leader ready for the next step, who can clearly demonstrate strong billing performance alongside leadership capability.

This is not traditional “old school” recruitment. The business has built a modern, values-led environment away from the typical agency model. The Liverpool team is currently small (7 people), with many joining from traditional agencies after wanting something different from the usual recruitment environment.

They need someone who can genuinely drive performance, lead from the front, and build a strong team culture — without relying on micromanagement. The right person will be commercially strong, people-focused, and capable of creating structure, accountability, and growth in a collaborative way.
