Jobs in Recruitment Manchester

.

What is recruitment?

As one of the biggest and busiest cities in the North West, Manchester is a hub of business activity. Jobs in recruitment within Manchester require people who have strong sales backgrounds and an understanding of business and commerce within the city. As recruitment is a form of sales, it is important that if you are thinking of pursuing a job in recruitment you have the ability to build strong relationships with businesses and job searchers within and around the city. If you are thinking about working in recruitment then it is important that you have the initiative to work alone whilst contributing to a team. The role consists of developing and building relationships with clients who are looking for the perfect candidate for a job within their business. In addition to this, you would also be required to search, find and recruit the ideal candidate for this role. It is imperative that you are able to maintain positive relationships with a wide range of people from a host of different backgrounds. Having an understanding of the business you are recruiting on behalf of is one of the most important aspects of the job. Recruitment is about putting forward candidates who show the potential to fit in and be successful within the business you are searching on behalf of. At times it could be that you need to approach a candidate who is not expressing interest in moving roles and attempting to demonstrate to them that you have found their perfect role within a company they may not be aware exists. Jobs in recruitment can be extremely rewarding especially when you have matched a candidate in their ideal role.

Why a career in recruitment?

First and foremost one of the most desirable aspects of a job in recruitment is the pay and the way you are able to achieve commission. If you are willing to work hard to achieve your goals then you will be rewarded. Other financial incentives include company cars and gym memberships. Jobs in recruitment are set in fast paced, exciting and dynamic environments. No two days are the same; you will not be sat at a desk all day every day. Developing positive relationships with clients requires you to visit the businesses you are recruiting for and getting a feel for the company. Attending open days to attract the best possible candidates for the roles you are attempting to fill and encouraging people to use you as the gateway to their next employment opportunity is another aspect to the role. In addition to this, you will use your people and social skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with the clients and candidates you are working on behalf of, because of this the feeling you get when you have placed a candidate in their ideal role in a company you know they will thrive in is overwhelming.
